The Boston Early Music Festival Chamber Opera Series returns with an all-new production of Francesca Caccini's, La liberazione di Ruggiero dall’isola d’Alcina. Lauritano will sing the role of Melissa.

Alcina depicts a struggle between illusion and destiny in a gorgeous entertainment, full of wit and magic. At the center is the sorceress Alcina, an intensely demanding role which Caccini designed as a dramatic vehicle for herself as a singing actress.
