Kelsey Lauritano is an American mezzo-soprano of Japanese heritage, praised by The New York Times for the “warmth” and “heroism” of her voice and by Opera News for her “wondrous power.” She is a current ensemble member at Oper Frankfurt, where her 2025/26 season includes role debuts as Mercédès in Carmen and Hannah in Die Passagierin, alongside returns as Dorabella in a new production of Così fan tutte and Suzuki in Madama Butterfly. Recent highlights include house debuts at Zürich Opera and Bayerische Staatsoper under Marco Armiliato, as well as her role debut as Prince Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus at Opera Theatre of St. Louis.
